Puppies and King Cobra..!!

The incident occurred in the Indian state of Punjab. Two puppies fell into a well. Their mother ran near the well and started barking, and attracted the attention of the owner, who looked inside and to his surprise there was a king cobra at the bottom, which didn't pose any threat to the puppies. Moreover, the reptile, looked after the puppies, by not allowing them to cross to the other side, where they could possibly drown, when the well is filled with water.

In general, they spent around 48 hours together at the bottom and in these 48 hours the cobra sat quietly next to them. When help finally arrived from the forest department, the cobra slithered to the other end of the well. The puppies were not injured at all and the reptile was immediately taken into the woods and was released into the wild.

There are weird similarities between Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy.

►Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846. John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

►Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860. John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

►Both were shot in the back of the head in the presence of their wives.

►Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.

Onions and Garlic help hair growth!

A new study suggest that applying onion juice to your scalp actually helps your hair grow back! The study was performed on 23 volunteers, and they applied onion juice to their scalp twice a day.

Six weeks later, 86.9% of the patients experienced some of their hair growing back! The reason for their hair growth is because Onions are from the same family as garlic, a family known as the allium family. The allium family has a positive effect on hair growth because of their high sulfur levels!

Sure you’ll smell awful, but at least you’ll have hair?

'Artificial Leaf' Gains the Ability to Self-Heal Damage and Produce Energy from Dirty Water

Another innovative feature has been added to the world's first practical "artificial leaf," making the device even more suitable for providing people in developing countries and remote areas with electricity, scientists reported in New Orleans on April 8. It gives the leaf the ability to self-heal damage that occurs during production of energy.

Daniel G. Nocera, Ph.D., described the advance during the "Kavli Foundation Innovations in Chemistry Lecture" at the 245th National Meeting & Exposition of the American Chemical Society.

Nocera, leader of the research team, explained that the "leaf" mimics the ability of real leaves to produce energy from sunlight and water. The device, however, actually is a simple catalyst-coated wafer of silicon, rather than a complicated reproduction of the photosynthesis mechanism in real leaves. Dropped into a jar of water and exposed to sunlight, catalysts in the device break water down into its components, hydrogen and oxygen. Those gases bubble up and can be collected and used as fuel to produce electricity in fuel cells.

Peanut the turtle

This is Peanut the turtle, shortly after being found in Missouri in 1993. She was taken to to a zoo in St. Louis where the six-pack ring was removed.

It seems that she was trapped in the plastic ring as a young turtle and was unable to free herself. Subsequently her shell moulded itself to the plastic ring and she grew in the strange shape you see here.

Unfortunately the damage is permanent, but peanut is expected to live a long life and today she serves as a mascot for the fight against beach littering.
