LED lights are harmful for your eyes!

We all know well about the light emitting diodes or LED. It is present all around us. From television screens to mobile, computers and most of the electronic gadgets that possess a screen can now boast of LEDs. Even traffic lights and street lights have been replaced with LED lights.

Are LEDs safe? Do light emitting diodes affect our eyes?

Unfortunately, Yes!
The so called eco friendly LED lights aren’t that good any more because they can cause permanent damage to your eyes according to the claims of a new research and study.
The LEDs may cause irreparable damage to the retina of your eyes.
And if the retina cells are destroyed in any way by prolonged exposure to LED rays then they can never be replaced or repaired. Nor will the retina cells regrow again. That’s what Think-Spain.com reported.

Why are LEDs harmful?

According to researchers, the high level of radiation in the ‘blue band’ of light emitting diodes causes harm to our retina cells. And this is becoming a real threat to mankind with each passing day given that our everyday electronic gadgets that we cannot live without have been or are being replaced by LED screens.
Dr. Celia Sanchez Ramos, an investigator at Madrid’s Complutense University, said that the retina never regenerates itself once it has been damaged.

Remedy:

As Ramos said, Led lights are made up of rainbow longitude waves and it is the blue part emitting high level of radiation that mainly causes the harm to our eyes.
So, to eliminate the blue band radiation, Experts suggest to have Led lights with built in filters to cut out the blue glare.
