What’s funny about this story is that back in 1996, Hahn tried to build a nuclear reactor at his backyard! When asked, investigators stated that Hahn was arrested after someone saw him stealing detectors around the apartment complex where he lived and that later on the other detectors were found at his apartment!
Back in the 1990s he learned that smoke detectors have a small amount of a radioactive isotope, and therefore it could help him to continue his evil plan.
Why does he have so many open sores in his picture? Possibly because of all the radioactive materials that he was exposed to.
