A doctor in Brazil uses "HIV-infected" needles to protect her house from burglars!!

Burglar alarms are so passé. If you really want to keep burglars away, you should stud the walls around your property with HIV-infected needles, just like a female doctor from Sobradinho in Brazil has done

The unnamed orthopaedist had been robbed on numerous occasions by people who scaled the fence around her home. To combat this, she placed dozens of HIV-infected syringe needles all the way around her wall, pointing upwards. Alongside them she put the hand-written message: "HIV positive blood. Do not trespass."

The new burglary deterrent went up last week, but was spotted by neighbours who complained that her attitude was "dangerous". Her landlord was alerted and then ordered the woman to take the syringes down three days later. As a result, her license to practice as well as her mental state are now under review. She could well lose her license for taking contaminated materials from the hospital which should have been disposed of by incineration.
