The military has a special tire that doesn't use any air!

The pneumatic tire is the traditionally used tire, one that we've been putting on our vehicles for around 100 years now. Well, the times are changing according to Michelin because in 2005, the company released what they called the 'Tweel Airless Tire', or rather 'Tweel' for short. And yes, the name derives from mixing the words 'tire' and 'wheel' together.
The reason that this tire is more effective than a standard tire, is because it is airless - but it provides the same endurance and capabilities of a regular tire. In fact, the 'tweel' is said to adjust slightly better to unusual road conditions because of the design of the spokes.

The 'tweel' make look like a futuristic bicycle tire - but it may provide a solution to driver's constantly getting flat tires because they drove over random objects on the road. Further, the tweel makes the handling of the vehicle adjustable, however the tweel can only be adjusted prior to it being made.
